Laura Bennett is a certified executive, leadership, and anti-burnout coach, trainer, and organizational development consultant focused on helping professionals in ultra-demanding, high-performance, and high-burnout roles. Laura served in the U.S. Navy as an APRN and healthcare leader in a variety of roles including Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Head of Sexual Assault Forensic Examination, Perinatal Advisory Board Co-Chair, and in risk-mitigation for special populations during the 2011 Japan Earthquake, Tsunami, and Radiologic Disaster. She served as an adjunct faculty and clinical preceptor for advanced practice nursing, physician assistants, and medical residents. While in the Navy, Laura also developed mindfulness-integrated resiliency programs for healthcare staff and for an intensive outpatient mental health program. She has received multiple awards for her leadership outcomes.


Laura is passionate about leadership development and promoting thriving. Since retiring from the Navy in 2016, she founded Laura A. Bennett & Associates in order to have a positive impact on a larger scale. As an entrepreneur, Laura brings an expanded perspective to healthcare leaders from her cross-industry experience. She creates assessment-driven, evidence-based bespoke solutions for leadership and organization development grounded in neuro-, performance, health, and behavioral sciences. She also creates mindfulness, positive psychology, and yoga-based resiliency programs and is a regular speaker on leadership, anti-burnout, and well-being. Additionally, Laura has served with the Institute for Healthcare Excellence delivering signature solutions for effective communication and culture transformation in healthcare organizations nationwide.
