Healthcare Burnout Symposium

Awards for excellence in Physician and Health Leader well-being are a way to celebrate the good news. Projects that have helped, individuals that have made a difference, and systems that take the health of their physicians seriously should be celebrated. Sharp Index is a nonprofit dedicated to reducing physician burnout and suicide. When we recognize excellence in physician health, healthcare systems will naturally strive for excellence. We want to recognize excellence in work towards that mission, including the following categories:

  • Most Promising Research in Physician Burnout

  • Best Health Tech Company to Reduce Physician Burnout

  • Best Health Tech Innovator in Physician Burnout and Suicide Prevention

  • Biggest leader in Physician Burnout

  • Best Health System Wellness Program

  • Best Media Coverage of Physician Burnout

  • Best Advocate for Physician Burnout and & Suicide Prevention

  • Best Data Project for Reducing Physician Burnout

There is also an open category for people and companies that have done great work that does not fit into these categories.

Nominees will be notified, and awards will be presented at the Healthcare Burnout Symposium in San Francisco on January 24th

Sharp Index also awards a scholarship to a physician and non-physician doing significant work in this area. A non-physician winner might be a nurse leader, or a suicide loss survivor, or a media member who is dedicated to make a difference for the health of our health care system. The first winner of the Sharp Index Scholarship was Chad Richards. You can find his story here. This scholarship is a growing effort and sponsored by health tech companies dedicated to technology that is a positive contribution to physician lives.
